OnWord Community has been offering dual-credit classes to F-M students since 2024.

My name is Lorents and I am going to be a senior in the fall. Participating in OnWord was a great experience. Prior to joining the OnWord community, I took an online PSEO college course from one of our local universities. It was okay and I'm glad I had the experience, but I liked my experience with OnWord much more. The material was presented clearer. Since I was taking my classes with kids my age, I felt like I fit in versus feeling like I was out of my league. The teachers responded quicker and I also liked having a Course Assistant who worked with us locally. They were able to better help make the material come to life. It was a really great experience and I hope to participate again next year.

I would recommend this [Intro to Public Communications] class because it does two major things. First you actually talk to people, not to a screen or camera. It also aids in having a more personal interaction, and better feedback is given directly since we are sitting with the rest of the class. The in-person experience is great, and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

As a homeschool mom — is it important to know that you are doing the best for your kids. The challenge of teaching them character and principles while ensuring they are meeting standards of learning for graduating is a TOUGH balance.
"Are we doing enough?"

Thank goodness for OnWord!!
It is a place where students are able to meet friends and test their skills as they journey towards college.
OnWord brilliantly combines the ability to take 100% college courses under the guidance of knowledgeable Course Assistants who enhance student learning among a group of peers who are able to share and express different ideas.
These PSEO classes all added to my children's college transcripts and prepared them wonderfully for how college is set up and what is expected. OnWord gives an added blessing of confidence to both students and parents knowing that outside of our home walls — they CAN do it!!!!
