Let's Do High School Together!

Three options for enrolling with OnWord are explained below. Please note which one is of interest to your student based on the descriptions and follow the specific OnWord enrollment instructions on the dropdown menu under the 'Students' tab. 

NOTE: If more than one class is of interest, a dual enrollment or PSEO student may choose to also sign up for a class as an enrichment student. Please clarify this at the end of the OnWord Enrollment Form.

Enrichment:

Enrichment students are exposed to the course material primarily through the text and classroom discussion. These students are not enrolling for college credit and often are 9th and 10th grade students. Students who desire to CLEP a course may also take it for this reason. Enrichment students are not graded by the Crown College professor or the OnWord course assistant, though the course assistant may offer feedback on assignments if requested. These students are encouraged to be prepared weekly to participate in classroom discussions. Grades for enrichment students will always be the responsibility of the homeschool parent. Enrichment students who take a course may take it again in the future for college credit.

ND Dual Enrollment:

ND residents who want to take an OnWord course for both high school and college credit in the 11th or 12th grade will sign up for this option. Grading is determined by the college professor, with input from the course assistant on weekly in-person class participation. These students will receive a 60% discount on Crown tuition when they sign up to take courses through OnWord Community. The cost is $99.45/credit. This is a reflection of Crown's partnership agreement with OnWord and the value they place on student character development and in-person learning through our community.  

MN PSEO Student:

MN residents who want to take an OnWord course for both high school and college credit in the 11th or 12th grade will sign up for this option. Grading is determined by the college professor, with input from the course assistant on weekly in-person class participation. MN PSEO students are required by the MN Dept of Education to sign a form each semester stating they are taking courses for college credit before they can register for classes.
