Community Partnerships

Partners in Education

OnWord Community is comprised of F-M Christian homeschool families who value strong community life and peer relationships for teens as they embark on higher-level, dual-credit classes and extracurricular programming. Our dynamic partnership with Crown College in St. Bonafacius, MN, offers online courses to local students while supporting character and interpersonal development through weekly in-person learning. Throughout the 15-week semester, OnWord students meet with a local instructor or course assistant for classroom discussions and encouragement through the challenges of fast-paced semesters in higher education. Crown College is accredited and we have a growing number of testimonials sharing that students (and parents!) are pleased to know their OnWord college credits are transferring into regional colleges and universities.

As we grow in faith and numbers, St. Paul's Newman Center near NDSU is graciously offering us a nurturing classroom environment where OnWord students can comfortably meet. Face-to-face fellowship helps our youth form lasting friendships that support their emotional and spiritual well being.  OnWord extends our heartfelt thanks to Fr. James Cheney and the staff at the Newman Center who welcome and include our community as they dedicate themselves to providing Christ-centered opportunities for learning for college students.

We are actively seeking host facilities and sites for extracurricular programming, particularly the OnWord robotics team. If you know of a  public, commercial or private space that may be available in the F-M area, we welcome you to contact our office for further conversation.

For over 100 years, Crown has focused on preparing students to live out their faith in the world.

Located 40 minutes west of the Twin Cities, in Minnesota, we offer degree programs that are compelling and relevant, intentionally engaging students through both in-person and online. We intentionally build a community of highly qualified, committed Christians to serve as faculty. Our programs boldly integrate a Biblical worldview into every class. We have 18 NCAA Division III athletic teams, internship opportunities, and summer outreach programs around the globe.

The Mission of St Paul's Newman Center

Serving the NDSU campus as a "home away from home" for students making the transition into adulthood, preparing them to receive the gift of their vocation, and equipping them to live a dynamic Catholic life.
